Athlete of the Quarter Nominations

If you’re a sports superstar, or know someone who is, we want to hear about it. Maybe you lead the Little League, ice your hockey opponents, or out-sprint other seniors.  Any age, any sport, anyone who excels in athletics is eligible to be named Dr. Paul Kiritsis’ Athlete of the Quarter.

One winner will be chosen each quarter to receive a duffle bag full of exciting prizes and recognition in the Richmond Times-Dispatch and on WRIC TV8.
    Prizes:
  • Dinner for two at Ruth’s Chris Steak Hous
  • Four tickets to Disney on Ice
  • Four tickets to Regal Cinemas
  • Four tickets to any regular season University of Richmond home football game

Here’s your chance to tell us why you, or someone you know, belong in our winner’s circle. Extra points will be given for overtime activities in the community or other areas of life.

Dr. Paul Kiritsis and Callen PillowSept 2, 2009

Congratulations to Athlete of the Quarter winner Callen Pillow. Callen is only 11 years old, but already has six gold medals in track and field, is an honor roll student and raises money for kids with cancer! Way to go, Callen!


Meet our 2nd Athlete of the Quarter:

Dr. Paul Kiritsis and Abby BaduraMay 8, 2009

Congratulations to Athlete of the Quarter winner Leon Hawker. Leon is a lifetime achiever in many sports and still going strong at age 71! He has a +3 handicap in golf and recently placed 6th in the World Golf Tournament for 70 and above. He also excels at charity work through mission trips with Bon Air Baptist church. High five, Leon!


Our first Athlete of the Quarter:

Dr. Paul Kiritsis and Abby BaduraCongratulations to Athlete of the Quarter winner Abby Badura. Abby has overcome debilitating injuries to become one of the top cross country runners at Clover Hill High School and in Virginia. She has also been nationally recognized for her math and Spanish accomplishments and has a 5.0 GPA. Go Abby!
